He showed us this huge equation relating the mass of the object, gravity, the distance from the center and time.
Once you cross the event horizon, time and distance swap places in the equation, and you have a certain amount of time before you reach the center, instead of distance, from the object's point of view.
The object will also be torn apart due to the massive force pulling it in.
From an observer's perspective, the object never reaches the center.
Your mass is divided by distance, so when you get to the center, stuff hits the fan.
