I've always wanted to build my own nerf guns. Dealing with buying and finding all of the darts has never appealed to me, however.

Picking up darts is a chore, yeah, but I don't find it to be a big deal, at least the ammo is reusable. And ammo packs are like $5 so that's whatever.

Also the guns come with an absurd amount of ammo.

The Stampede came with three 18 dart clips and a stuff ton of ammo

I wouldn't do it to the deploy, that thing is flimsy enough as it is. For the recon you need to remove the grey slide and completely remove all the screws from the gun. Then the air restrictor should be in the barrel, brb getting pic.

Remove the chamber assembly and use a long drillbit to drill the AR out entirely. Be sure not to damage the inside of the chamber, just remove the air restrictor (it's the piece with the "+" thing that usually goes through the center of the dart).
