SPOILERS:
If you have Brotherhood of Steel, you wake up a few weeks later in the Citadel. I also think you can send Fawkes in, at least you had that dialog option. I never tried it to see if it actually works.

And yes sirrus, you can send in fawkes or charon, but fawkes says "ALTHOUGH, I BELIEVE DESTINY HAS MEANT FOR YOU TO ENTER THE CHAMBER, I AM THE LOGICAL CHOICE"

Not that I can get him anyway, my Karma is still damn low from that douchebag Jericho that bailed on me from Tranquility Lane and is never found again.
