Sims 2 is better for some things, Sims 3 is better for others.
Making a sim that doesn't look like he/she has down syndrome is pretty hard in TS3.

When I was a kid, I wanted to get Sims 2. Now I'm older and I have Sims 3 and it's expansion packs. I don't buy the stuff packs. Saving space for more expansion packs. Anybody getting the new pack?

I pretty much agree, I'd rather have more stuff to do than more stuff to do boring stuff with.
