I need help with my pistol

Hello, I am a beginner moddeler. Actually, I have never modelled before. So, I am making a pistol, and I need some help.

1. How do I put the place where the bullet comes out?
2. How do I put the Blockheads hand on the gun?
3. How do I color/texture it?
4. How do I add joints?

I'll think of some more. Here is a picture:


I will smooth out the model a bit, this is a suppressed version. Please take note that this is my first model. THIS IS ONLY A ROUGH COPY
