EDIT: Ok, so its on for 9.95? I have another 10 bucks lyin around, sweet, but if I get this in alpha, will I have to pay again when beta comes out?

Of course it is. You build in an infinite world with mobs, or "npcs" that you can interact with like pigs that you hunt for meat or sheep that you shear for wool. There are also these green four legged creatures that when looked at and pressed "i" on will trade certain items for others, and they change items per day. The only time I've ever bought a diamond item from them was when I traded 3 stacks of cloth for it. Not really worth it, imo :\
