You are handicapped. Maxis made good games, they made GREAT games. Then EA came along and FORCED them to do things. Learn to do research, before you rage. EA did not "just publish it", EA owns Maxis, just as they own many other game company; EA help fund and build Spore, EA owns the rights to it, etc.
