They're very rare; I only saw one Black Ops soldier in two years of playing (they were introduced about 3-4 months before my subscription expired). They never attacked the empire I was using when I was online.

Two armies are in the middle of a war
A group of 10 Black-ops flank the conflict
Black-ops wipe everyone out, no Black-op casualties
Everyone wonders what the hell just happened
(Their vehicles being pitch black)

I remember this.
I could never get kills, and if you are infantry you always get killed by a sniper.
and a tank.
and a gunship.
then a MAX.
then a, what are they called, Mechs or whatever.
then a squad of infantry.
the only fun part is CQC, when infantry and the newbies get some XP.
