I had a disc with bunged data on from a bad recording. I threw it like a Frisbee a lot, used it as a skateboard down a rough concrete slope, used it as a brillo pad against concrete, dropped it in a puddle, rubbed it in dirt, scratched it with a stone, and spat on it. Then I wiped it down, put it in a school computer, and it wouldn't eject.

The FBI probably wouldn't find it if you cut the disc in half and kept one half. Half A can be thrown into a remote location such as the woods and Half B can be kept or thrown in a garbage can.

A data recovery expert could still recover partial information off of half a disc.

Boil it in water, pour the water in a plastic bag with the CD, freeze it, then take it out of the bag and break it.

Then, you can chuck in the ocean.

I have a incinerator in my backyard for occasions such as this.

I burn all my CD/DVD and VHS Tapes.
