But in all seriousness, I am arguing that he doesn't know much about poetry and he keeps making up really stuffty lines and trying to prove points with them, so it isn't working.
Also, darkness is a thing.

You cannot touch maturity, and you cannot touch darkness. Darkness may be seen, but it is not tangible. It can be applied to anything.

Please try to actually add to this conversation. Darkness isn't an idea, darkness is a thing. It isn't tangible, but it sure as stuff isn't an idea. Maturity is not tangible and isn't a thing.
