You can progress through the game and level up your entire party at the same time.
You still get EXP no matter what you fight.
Camera:
I dislike hyperbeam and other moves that need recharging.

Holy stuff these teams have stuff movesets
Also learn to EV train (with Pokerus for faster and better results).
I make custom teams/movesets all the time, it's not rock science.

All my pokemon have to be equally leveled, every time I beat a gym I make a goal for all my pokemon to be that certain level.
