I don't mind you doing some math for the lulz, and yeah a square table does fit in a corner.The pictures you just took are not from the same angle as the original pictures.There are also holes in the fence, by the way.
There should be holes... And if i had a square table you wouldn't be able to walk to the chair. What does it matter if they aren't at the same angle?
The space inside is 10x10 and the fireplace takes up 4x5. Be glad you can fit anything in there. An alternative could be switching the table and the chair thing so you don't have to walk past the table every time you go in or out. The angle decides if it will look like the table is mashed up against the wall or not.

The chimney takes up 4x6 so with the square table you wouldn't be able to come through, and i don't want the table to be next to the chimney because you would probably want to get closer to the chimney if you want to get warm. If i had the square table the room would look small and cramped... Sorry for double Toast.
