Author Topic: Isar Tower: More Than Just A Build  (Read 84622 times)

That's right. It's a build with events. And a showcase. And a restaurant.
yeah, thats what a build is

did it grow a mouth and say silly wordplay

Sorry that was too much for your mind to comprehend hurr.

Its a build that is used. It has purpose. I host interesting events and activities using the build. It is developing its own history. It is doing what no server has done before. Its the people, the vibe, and the activities that make it more. Because most builds are made and trashed.

And yes, people do see things like this and say "isn't that a bit over the top" but its just because you aren't used to such a thing. Don't refute it, embrace it.

seems pretty cool. the way you made electricity is pretty awesome too

It needs more social enhancers, there's not much to do there. Install a pool, create a game, but watching a light turn on and off isn't that exciting :/

Nobody said its finished. I can't be expected to provide a full experience when half of the building is still under construction.

Well then get something entertaining set up for everyone for the time being, or just host it when it's finished with construction.

Don't lecture me on how to run my own server. I've had a positive response from just about everyone, and others are eagerly visiting the server to slowly see new improvements. Your lack of patience is your problem.

Well, the people come for the tourism, and the fame of it all. But some entertainment could do. I'm not telling you how to run your server, I'm telling you what you should be doing to entertain your guests. As long as they're happy though, I've got no problem. I just see somethings lacking in this project.

Also, I hope you're prepared to get some critiquing response, too. You don't get any exceptions just for who you are. This is a nice building, overall, but you need to pack it with social enhancement. I also like the originality of it all ;)

I don't know where to start with this...

I never get any exception. I hope you realize people are often very critical of what I do. You obviously weren't here for 08'.

I was just spreading opinion, like you do with your blog articles. Don't dish what you can't take, Icygamma.

I was just spreading opinion, like you do with your blog articles.

Thats not an opinion, you are implying I get an easy time when really I don't. So thats fabricating information, what I do not do. How dare you.

Don't dish what you can't take, Icygamma.

I was waiting for you to say that in the last post. Thats downright pathetic. I have suffered a lot of brutal opinion from the Blockland public, and while I can't say I enjoyed it I've never complained about opinion being out there. So don't give me this "Don't dish what you can't take" nonsense, because the only one who can't take content like that is you. Otherwise you wouldn't be preaching to me to, quote "be kind" on the blog. The nerve of you telling me what I created the blog for.

I'm not going to continue any further, because this Isn't getting us anywhere ;_;
All I was trying to do was give you some advice on your building, not criticize how you host your server. I'm sorry for offending you deeply. But I expected that when you created this gallery topic, you knew you had to expect some criticism and deal it without harsh words or misunderstandings. I wasn't at all talking about what you do, or how you deal with things, because this is the gallery section, and we're here to criticize buildings. I am truly sorry for the harsh detail I put against you personally, however. I truly have nothing against you and I ask you to forgive me for running off topic.

Oh, I understand they'll be criticism. But I can't be blamed for defending myself.

Anyway I've had a crap day today. I had to fire an old friend from my clan because he hasn't been around very much and I feel hes lost interest in the group and changed quite a bit as a person. It was a long rant on the Ascii topic which didn't exactly make my morning, where we both said some pretty rough things. Then I've been sorting through dimwit comments on various blogs. And I had 4 sever crashes earlier today when hosting Isar. And I've also got the deadline approach for Afterblock. AHHHHHH.

Oh, well, I'm sorry :(
I hope you can forgive me for my rudeness, but I didn't know this side of you.
Truly not everyone has that much stress, and I wish not to build onto it. ;)
Well, good luck with that tight schedule of yours :/
Don't break your back.
