before the cache file was coded, normally when you join servers with addons you don't have, it downloaded basic files like .dts and other stuff into folders added into the addons folder.

to reduce clogging of the addons folder, baddy created the cache file which just changes the place where the folders are stored.

good god, man, what is UP with that, i'm topping out at 1.68 GB (1,808,369,099 bytes) , so you must download everything you see.
