That's an old one, but yes, I've heard of it. I plan on trying it soon.

I do because my N64 is beginning to get finicky and demands that you unplug the cartridge a TINY bit or it'll overheat and not work for an hour. But other than that, it works.
And as for controllers and cartridges, heh... I've got a trans purple controller(collector's edition) and a red Spiderman cartridge(also collector's edition), a blue controller, DK64 Arcade limited edition controller, and the default gray controller as well as a shelf full of cartridges.
