Well, you seem like one of those guys who do well in building.
If you can't seem to beat Xang, why don't you go try to build him a TDM app?

Although I would say that I am quite the builder, I just don't have the passion to do it.

I see.
But you should probably know that beating Xang in one of those 1v1 DM's is incredibly hard.
If you want to get in, maybe you could start apping, but making it a little at a time.
A decent DM or TDM is fine, so it shouldn't take much time though (unless you have a lot of school work). It doesn't have to be an elaborate, beautiful build as long as it's not a pile of spam. Just do the best you can.
