How am I not "letting" them join if they best they give me is a "maybe"?

I'm beginning to lose patience in waiting for this service. If you can't be flexible enough to work with less than 10 people, then how is this idea ever going to get off the ground? Either find a cheaper machine/host, alter your pricing structure, or decrease any margins you have.
In a week I will withdraw my offer of joining. You have until December 14th.

I don't think it will - not for any reasonable length of time. Once someone drops out, Kalphiter is left to pay their part of the bill and if a second were to drop out, he'd cancel it altogether. I've got a neat plan which would allow me to offer this service even with just one subscriber - I think it'll be a more effective approach.
