It's not even made by Nexon, it's made by Devcat, Nexon publishes it.
Nexon is a horrible company though, and I understand not playing a game from them because of that, but not playing it because the have other games that are bad isn't a good reason.

Nexon bought Maplestory because the old owners of the game went bankrupt(?).
