As much as I've hated on Otis in the past (hate is 4 loozurs) he's completely correct and normally is just that. Dell is fine, your new computer was cheap but could be better (but anything could always be better) and just because Dell made it doesn't really make a difference. It serves you how you want it to, no problems here.

I'm not so much concerned about Vista, but as for Dell. Their customer service was bitterly poor only a few years back and repair was extremely awkward in my country. Dell has countless issues too, including exploding batteries-- one of which ignited in an airport. Its that kind of stuff that puts me off them, big time. Dell computers are so breakable, and the general brand is just gross.

Okay, its my turn to make an ignorant claim with no evidence beyond my general opinion. YOU don't like people bagging Vista because you can't afford an upgrade, thats why you are so bitchy about people disliking it.

I'm sorry for your loss but the general person does not have the horrid problems that you have encountered. I have owned numerous Dell laptops and I have never had a battery problem. The support isn't that great, I agree, but the general person will not run into problems. It was clearly stated this computer was simply in a dell case so i don't even know how dell came into this.

With a celeron processor!
So I don't really care if you say it sucks, it is a HUGE upgrade for me.
I can play TF2, New Vegas, and my other games. That's all that matters.
