Team Fortress 2 doesn't have subtitles, at least, not in the English version...

He could use german proxy then. Even though buying through proxies is annoying and requires some IQ, but it's possible, I have done it on D2D. :p

I think that in the steam shortcut you can put a little code (-lv I think) to get the low-gore/goreless version. I know this exists for L4D but not sure about TF2
