I agree that it is annoying to have some one with wierd letters in their name, if you are in admin. But other then that they are just trying to be creative.
Edit: I totally forgot about scripting problems that could happen.

All you're doing is looking for a letter in the character map that looks like the letter you want and is compatible with TGE.
It costs more time, makes things more complicated, looks ugly, allows people to claim your original name (or a way for you to use a name that's already taken), and well, I don't even see where creativity comes in. I see where the 'I'm trying to be special.' comes in.
