I just like to have something comfortable to look at as I browse.
When I'm browsing, I'm looking at the page I'm browsing. So you know, I can see what I'm actually doing.
Addons like adblock, multirow toolbar, and download statusbar.
I use none of those.
I use Greasemonkey, Download Helper, and OpenDownload. (Which IE doesn't need OpenDownload, because it already has the "Run" option for every file that can be run)
I only used firefox as an example, because it's the one I use. To my knowledge, IE is only made for windows. On linux, you CAN use wine, but it's not worth it.
I only use Windows. OS is not an issue for me.
Firefox is faster. So are other browsers. I bet even Opera is faster, which is what the Wii uses on the internet channel.
Have you personally tested the speed at which it runs?
I found that every browser I've used instantly loaded pages.
In fact, Firefox uses more resources than IE, which ends up slowing my other programs down.
Strange, because I give Firefox to people who don't know how to use computers. Why? Because they break IE.
Firefox is like a baby gate if the person doesn't know how to use a computer. It stops them from falling down stairs and breaking limbs.
