--- Quote from: Sheath on December 08, 2010, 03:01:28 PM ---Oh, lets not go there. That seems to be a common conclusion to everyone trying to start a project. I don't like that baseless comment. @tails: Thats not true. I've had many successful projects that were done and finished. I just have the ability to know what its time to call it quits on things that don't work out. --- End quote --- The comment is far from baseless. We never do anything without some kind of personal gain at stake. In Blockland, the content we collectively create is given out for free and thus the motivation is psychological. You might argue that one simply does it altruistically but I feel that is naive. I'm not claiming that I'm any better; indeed, all of my creations are shared in the hope of gaining praise. That is simply the nature of this community. You may know when a project has failed, but perhaps you need to improve your pattern recognition skills. People have being trying to create a central news source for Blockland for many years now, and each attempt has failed. In each case, all that happens is a player has decided to make an effort to fulfill a need that does not exist. The community simply does not need a spokesman, regardless of how eloquent or intelligent they may be. |

As I have said, instead of making the news, it would be better if you collected the interesting and released them in a specially edited and annotated form. |
