They would crack down on crime, not destroy it. My comparison wasn't exactly right. Shutting down 4chan for it's users attacking a site would be like demolishing Central Park because a group of people met up there to plan a murder, and committed it elsewhere. But my point is, the owner of 4chan isn't responsible for what it's users do in their own time.

Haha wow, the brown townogy was terrible - stop trying.

There's nothing wrong with it.

Yeah, it's completely flawless aside from being terrible.

I'm sure nobody will care to explain what's wrong with it, that's how this forum usually works. A whole lot of accusing and nothing to back it up.

Your stance is completely logical, but brown townogies are not always the tool to be used in debates. Trust me, I've been there.

Secret stuff is happening between countries and WikiLeaks is revealing it to the public. Like the president/or whatever of Saudi Arabia "urging the U.S. to go to war with Iran."
It's more like "wtf we knew this but now they're telling everyone! only almost everyone knew this! grrrrgrggrgsffdgfsg >:C"

That doesn't explain what's wrong with it.

(My opinion, for what it's worth.)
The brown townogy is superfluous in comparison to a bunch of kids on the internet attacking a site.  While it may cause those companies to lose a bit of money, it's nothing they can't handle.

The brown townogy itself, though.  Moot has total control over /b/, but chooses not to exercise it.  He only makes bans for jokes, such as not liking chocolate milk.  But gangs aren't directly monitored by the police, so the police can't stop the gangs from attempting crimes.

You're over thinking/misunderstanding it. You ca't blame Moot for what 4chan's users do, just like you can't blame New York City Department of Parks and Recreation for what Central Park's users do. That's all I was trying to say.

That's like saying Pirate Bay can't be blamed because it can't control their users.

I loving hate these two groups what a lot of douchebags

The Pirate Bay hosts illegal torrents. The owners of the site are breaking laws. THAT was a bad comparison.

QFT.

But The Pirate Bay doesn't submit those illegal torrents, the people do!

I know you don't think it's even the same thing, so I'm not going to bother.
