It's not that I want to live forever but the fact that I have a mental comfort whenever things are starting to look like stuff. I know that I can only make a difference when things go downhill but it's easier to cope with the thought of someone looking after you.
If a god really existed, do you believe he would be a loving one? Have you seen what some people on this planet go through

Yes I always think “if gods is all loving and all powerful then why are tons of our lives stuff”
then my bible cigarette/ rude, snoody trash of a cousin will reply with
“but how would we know what happyness is”
me: “how can you not know what happyness is if you feel it 24/7
and if were always happy then who cares about having to know what it is”

Did you not read? Like I said I don't really believe in god but I still like to have something to believe in.

I have learned that atheism is like growing up with a bike
Snip

You have a really good point there other than devil who's not taking the loving time to read my posts like usual. Still I like to believe in something but thanks for taking the time to understand.

You're saying you believe in a god, how does that provide any comfort if he doesn't love you?

Once again you don't take the time to think about what I'm saying because of your huge loving ego. It's not about believing in god. It's about believing in a belief. And obviously I'm not a bible cigarette if I support gay marriage.

I sincerely don't understand you're reasoning here, i'm sorry if you take this as me being a prick

Well I guess the biggest thing is the fear of death I guess. My grandpa always said he wasn't scared but when I saw the fear in his eyes as he died that really left an impact on me. I understand heaven probably doesn't exist but at least I'll have something to look forward to on my death bed.

See, that reveals to me you have a happy life.  Congrats :P
I, however, do not.  I can't wait to die, but Self Delete is for cigarettes.

That seems irrational but I guess if it makes you feel better, why would you call yourself a christian though?

I dunno. What would be a better thing to call myself?

I'm christian (but forget you I won't argue with you about it just believe what you want)
and I don't give a crap about gays getting married.

People are gay. Let them be gay and marry other gays. Some people are in love with members of their own gender, so let them be married.

For sake of argument, let's say there's a gay guy, who wants nothing more than to get married and live the rest of his life and eventually die with his spouse. Well, if he can't marry other men, he'll probably end up marring a woman just for the sake of getting married. And now, he's in a totally meaningless marriage because he wants to be with a man, and he'll probably end up cheating on her.

I support it because everyone's different and I accept it, I'm not going to be a handicap about it because that won't change a thing about how those people feel. I respect them.

You are an ignorance.

Back in 1400 - 1700 (maybe the1800's) the church had a huge influence in politics

That's why here, the church has no influence in politics.
Except that it will brainwash the current people in politics.
