Author Topic: How Blockland has changed FOR you over time.  (Read 6715 times)

V8 was obviously the funnest of all BL.

Yet it was the worst gameplay wise.
I remember it too. Good times.

Noobitry:
Everyone on blockland starts out a little dumb to the community. I spent a really long time building some "hangout" entirely out of 1x1's. It was just a square building with a desk inside it. Someone came and cleared all of my bricks (And yes, I gave him admin). I told him that it took forever for me to build it. He said "Pfft, I could build that in 1 minute!", and left.
WHAT IS "NOOB"? I CANT FIND IT IN MY richardTIONARY.

I love how this topic seems to actually make people write.
It's like it instills or activates some sort of passion.
Makes sense.
Most of us are up to the brim with nostalgia, supposing you've been here since about at least v9-10, give or take.
And there really hasn't been much 'TLDR' comments of late.
Personally I enjoy reading these long entries, they don't seem tiring to read.
They're relate-able, I guess.

A whole bunch of newcigarette furrys poured in and started a hate bandwagon against me.

The game got better

While the community got worse.

Expansion of the community has always seemed to me as a bad thing.
I've thought of ways that we could manage this, perhaps have grouped communities, each moderated separately.
Of course, this has extremely bad consequences.
I am not particularly fond of group mentality.

Back in v8 NO events whatsoever we had to script all of the rpg's and cool stuff
NO water bricks
NO cube bricks
how ever there are ALOT more noobs in blockland now

Im from the v8, v9, and v10 areas and I can't remember much.

All I remember is that v9's changelog would have been 2 miles long.

The game is getting better for me, however we are losing the wonderful community that we used to have.
