You should just look up a common BO ( build order) for terran and expand on it as you see fit. Generally you go 9 SCVs, then you make a supply depot, then you get to 13 SCVs, then you build a barracks and another supply depot, then you get a few marines and SCVs and then get a gas. Since computers are stupid you could build a bunker and the computers first wave would Self Delete into it.

Yes AI are too stupid to attack buildings if you wall off your base. I just did the insane FFA achievement last night where you have to beat 7 comps on insane in a FFA. It's pretty easy though I just upped my command center at the start and went straight for a gold mine, then I made a 2nd base and moved it over to an island. I got like 70 SCVs since I knew the AI would never find me, and got like 60 battlecruisers and steam-rolled over the map.
