Alien Swarm isn't working

You do realize you're horribly mistaken?
A couple of friends and I have been working on a full custom campaign for this thing for about two months now. Not sure when it's going to be finished but it's promising so far.

I had this exact error, and after researching this error, this game requires your processor to be capable of SSE 2.
In Layman's terms. your processor is too old to play this game.
