I first played HL2 about 2-3 years ago.

Half-Life was better than Half-Life 2. HL2 was just boring. Environments, enemies, storyline, all of it. Boring. Also there did not seem to be much continuity between the two. All I gathered was that the cascade brought the combine here, turning a game that was once about fighting interesting and creative aliens into a game where you fight humans, buggers, and zombies.
