How can you offer the full 1.67GB RAM that blockland uses (hypothetically) to 22 clients?
Do you just cross your fingers that the servers don't user up too much?

Because the "real" ram requirement is 36.74GB.

Just curious :)

99 players won't be in all 22 servers.

Memory usage has been between 50-60% so if I get 30, I'll have to get more RAM.

After getting more RAM once, I run out of CPU so a new server would come along.

Not just that, but only about 17 servers are up at a time.

On a side note, Blockland Cloud registration is now open

I see.

Honestly, "crossing your fingers" is a pretty good technique - as you mentioned, it's really unlikely that all the servers reach capacity at once :3

Bisjac:

you arent supposed to max your stuff for every person. that would be wasteful.
you upgrade as your traffic grows.

you promise minimums you can keep up with.

I didn't max anything.

It's just the console running the server. No graphics, display, controls, etc are needed. Dedicated Servers require  less RAM than running the Blockland window itself would.
