I'm interested in preserving the original OP with the early stages of this thread, without those early stages actually being on the live thread.

Just btw there have been some strong lag spikes going on my server for the last two minutes, some lasting a few seconds. Something is up.

Sounds like hardware or localized network issues in NZ. Perhaps you should install or write some more comprehensive monitoring so you can be more proactive Kalph? Shoot me a PM if you want some suggestions.

Well, everything has been working perfectly on my server. No lag, no issues.
