Hearing gunshots of an automatic weapon coming from 16th Ave, I head out into the alley and down that direction. I know I'm probably going to be in some deep stuff if I try to play hero, but at this point, I don't really care. I came from an area where everything and everybody was wiped out and I was alone to a place with people who are hostile and everywhere. It appears there is no safe place to even be anymore, might as well fight the world for what it's worth.
At last, I reach 16th, and I peer to the right and then to the left. I see a man standing in the middle of the street, stupidly; even I know better to not stand in the middle of anywhere with no cover. I notice there are two corpses of what look like hitmen. They appear to have some decent weapons on them but not much ammo, but I take both of the guns and the ammo. They don't have much else on them. I don't know what kind of guns these are; I was never a war buff, but I bet they can get top dollar by looking at them. I throw one in the pack and put away my 10mm with it and yield one in my hand for protection.
The man that was standing in the street before has now disappeared, to where, I don't know. He appeared to be talking to someone in the alley. I began to walk towards the alley to see what exactly was there, but stopped cold; a man in an overcoat dropped down from a building onto the roof of a car, his coat flaring out behind him. He stepped down and towards the alley. A person emerges - the kid!
The man wearing the trenchcoat touches the kid and the kid freezes like he's been electrified. The man picks up the kid and slings him over his shoulder and heads back into the building, closing the door behind him. I pace quickly to the front of the building and peer into the window and watch him and another man tie the kid up to the chair. I'm careful not to be seen. They then go back into the building into a room somewhere and the kid is left there all alone.
I don't know if I should help him escape or if I should just leave. If I could just get the teen's attention...
