| RMS Gigantic:
Completed the flatcar, complete with its load of pipes: The train's consist contains two of these. When I dupe it, I will change the number "6788" to "6790," the number on the other flatcar according to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3TKF0gFdMA |
| RMS Gigantic:
Last update for tonight: added connections to the flat car and duped it. Changed the number on the front of the flatcars, and began to modify the tanker. I noticed some things wrong with said tanker, and intend to fix them later. |

(unless you can find a clip of them showing otherwise) And they are (by order they appear #'s and all) AWVR #4989 w/ "COKE SERVICE ONLY" written on the side AWVR #4992 w/ "COKE LOADING ONLY" written on the side AWVR #4991 w/ "COKE SERVICE ONLY" written on the side, as well. And as far as the make. I believe they are 58 Foot, 4 Door, Open Hopper. And as far as car #8 on your list. It is a 47', 2 Bay, Grain Hopper. ("Bay" = the number of hatches on the bottom of the car. So car #7 is a 3 Bay Covered hopper.) |

If you could, could you estimate the dimensions of the other cars as well? It would be greatly helpful! Side profiles of these cars that I can use for measurements would be optimal. For example, my single biggest source of help in building the engines had been the following diagram: http://trainiax.net/drawings/36-ge/ac/36-ge-ac4400cw-up-ph2b.gif The reason I figured it was a closed hopper was because contents of an open topped hopper might shift so severely as to spill at those speeds, because the camera crew wanted to hide the fact that those cars are actually empty, and because it looked so similar to the closed hoppers. |
