RMS Gigantic:
More progress for all of you!

A minor update is yet another improvement of the stripes on the front of the locomotives:

But by far my greatest achievement today is that I, within a matter of hours, went from basic frame to complete covered hopper! Here's Army Unit, who dropped by my server twice, standing next to it, for perspective:

It's even complete with some details underneath:

Feedback and ratings are appreciated.

Whoa, nice hopper. But wouldn't it have been more efficient to make most of the bottom a plate, and then making the hopper's grain release doors on that?

Faster? Certainly. More accurate? Certainly not.

And if anyone is wondering what it says on the side, it reads, "Trans Grain." The "N" is by far the lest legible letter, but I believe that that is the closest I can get to an "N" on a two dimensional, vertical surface.
RMS Gigantic:
I noticed upon reexamining some reference images that I was missing a beam that traverses the underside of the car. (My guess is that this might carry the workings of the brakes.) I noticed when watching the IMDB clip that is linked in the second post of this thread, though, that it is not visible when looking from the side. This lead me to believe that the beam is, as I saw it on one model, higher than the outer walls of the car. Here is the updated underside of the covered hopper:

My apologies for the small scale of the update: I had little spare time this evening, but at least it's something.
