AWVR 777 from "Unstoppable" - Update 3/30 - Complete!
RMS Gigantic:
I think it's time I update again. I made some additions, but have not yet posted them. Aside from some unfinished modifications on a few cars, and the beginning of the short cylindrical hopper, here is what I have not yet made known in this thread:
Here, I have made a basic note to myself about which end each car has its emergency brake valve, as far as I was able to discern in the videos I've seen on the internet:
I also have changed the window design on the side of the train cab. The locomotives have a sliding glass window, framed in white, which is what I am mimicking here:

Good news! This project isn't dead! I just needed the right reference material for the base of the cylindrical hopper, which I ended up finding here: http://dieseldetailer.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=dirt&action=display&thread=6321
Based on those pictures, I have built the undersides of both lengths of cylindrical hopper. Please note I have not yet made the doors at the bottom of the bays.
On the two-bay hopper:
On the three-bay hopper
As usual, ratings and feedback are appreciated.

I like it, 8.5/10
RMS Gigantic:
This post doubles as an update AND a help request!
Here's a piece of my latest progress on the train:
Now, I centered the image on that little step ladder on the corner of the train for a reason: on the longer cylindrical hopper, this is a bit of an issue. On the long cylindrical hopper, the ladder jerks out, as seen in this image, particularly on the right side:
The thing is, that bend is far enough out to be accounted for in bricks. Normally, I use this to make such small ladders:
1× pole, 1× pole
1×2 flat
However, since it bends outward in this case, I am not certain how to construct it. If any of you have ideas, I would greatly appreciate seeing them!
RMS Gigantic:
Remousamavi gave it a shot, with a pleasing result! If you think you have a better idea, by all means come forward with it, but this is currently how the small ladders look in the corners of the long cylindrical hopper:
Also, as the image's juxtaposition shows, train cars are big. In fact, it seems to me that perspective made the Blockland figure look larger compared to the build than it really is.
