Camera needs to make a city of of dragon people and shark people and make a series about it

I have to stop looking at this thread, it depresses me with my inability to draw anything coherent :x

Any tips from anyone for someone practicing late in their life?
Just practice and try using references.

Don't trace.

"My Life with TeslaCoil"

I feel like your advice skills are pretty lacking. "Just practice" practice... what? Drawing? There's a stuff load more to drawing than just hacking away lines with your pencil.
Also why do you have this personal vendetta against tracing lol? Tracing can be a good way to learn. It helps you understand contours of your subject if just using a reference isn't helping and if used right can also help you understand form. Obviously you shouldn't trace everything you do, but to discredit tracing entirely is just foolish.

As for advice, all of these are fantastic sources whether you're young/old, new/experienced:

http://www.sycra.net/ - resources sections contains a lot of useful stuff. Also watch his videos on youtube.
http://www.youtube.com/user/FZDSCHOOL - Not necessarily drawing tutorials, but composition and visual design tutorials, which are just as important.
http://www.youtube.com/user/ProkoTV - very good tutorials on basic figure drawing and rendering
http://ctrlpaint.com/ - great place if you're just beginning. covers a lot of the basics and more advanced stuff for purchase as well.

No need to get frisky.

And i guess the way i learned was just a few years of admiring other people's art and taking advice from them. Sadly i'm terrible at advice. So, evar, definitely check out those links. they're pretty good.

Sorry :f
But yeah those links are pretty good, they helped me out a lot. There's also an endless amount of tutorials for certain things on deviantart and whatever

suddenly i have a feeling Dragon of Dalore might be introduced a new character.

Any tips from anyone for someone practicing late in their life?
if you sit and stew in this thread for a long time like i have, the good skills may rub off on you a little.

no, i'm not kidding.

"My Life with TeslaCoil"
I was thinking more along the lines of Aremac the Last Airbender with the addition of a city of robots that has the usual humanoid robots, shark robots and dragon robots

Shark people wont be introduced for a LONG while.

But there are no robots in Camera and Aremac's world. Only appliances!

Those are given to dragons of that world.

That's why there would be conflict! Your world has mixed with Tesla's in some unexplained way and now one city wants the other gone while the city of robots wants both city of shark people and dragon people gone so they can rule a world of their own finally

irl a world of dragons and sharks walking and talking around would make me dump my pantalones and do the macarena

normal pants not fancy pants!!!!!
