trying to scan from my printer (which can be contected to via wifi) to my android tablet instead of a PC since my laptop has all these problems with trying to scan
but when i do so i get like a 300x300 pixel image which is super low quality, and as it turns out that's the highest quality available.
i know it's a long shot but maybe someone else has tried this or does this and might know a way to get a higher resolution scan?

Did your printer come with a program? It may have an option to change resolution of the scanned image

Did your printer come with a program?
i'm not really sure, actually. it's an HP printer, and HP actually does have it's own "All-In-One" wireless printer app for android, which includes the ability to make a printer scan what ever is inside it and send the scan to the tablet. however this app was just on the app store (google play store), the printer doesn't actually have a recommendation for an app or anything.

It may have an option to change resolution of the scanned image
there are four resolution options in the app on my tablet, 75, 100, 200, and 300, and my attempted scans are all in 300, resulting in an image which i THINK is 300 pixels along the 8.5 inch side, and then some larger number of pixels along the 11 inch side. i can also scan from the scanning glass (as i have been doing) or through something called the "document feeder"? i have a feeling i know where that document feeder is, i just haven't used it.

ah okay so i reread your post and realized you might mean an option for changing scan resolution on the printer itself. didn't think of that, i'll check.

If you're using an HP try hopping on one of the computers on your ethernet network, then open explorer and navigate to the "Network" tab. Then see if your printer has a UPnP address. That's what I use on my HP. (B210 Series)

i don't have a problem connecting to the printer, my problem is that a computer seems to be able to scan in a much higher resolution than my tablet can (nearly four times higher), even though both are scanning using the same printer. i'm mainly asking if there is an alternative way of scanning through mobile devices that would let me scan in a higher resolution.

I ask this so you can grab the web address of the printer, then try putting into the web browser of your tablet.

guys lets do a color palette challengeeee

all these excluding the tan in the back ofc

alright, makes sense, i had no idea that was possible. i don't actually know what a UPnP address looks like though, and google is being surprisingly unhelpful.

however i'm stupid and apparently all my scans have been getting automatically dropped into my Gallery without me saving them or anything, just by doing the scan, and the ones scanned at 300 resolution are 2550x3300. wow. definitely a problem solved. thanks anyhow.

im doing the color challenge rite now

i wish i was as good as you guys :/

u forgot the other colors scrub

u forgot the other colors scrub
the rule is limit yourself to the colors in the palette
no one said you had to use all the colors

i wish i was as good as you guys :/
me too but don't keep talking stuff about yourself like I do to myself
