i am pretty sure tom was refering to hatching and crosshatching because i dont even know what hatchet drawing is.

unless i draw a hatchet then yeah. rerunning over a line several times can either be because you want to add depth, you made a mistake and want to fix it so it looks a bit more normal, or just because you want to, im pretty sure that doesn't really constitute for a term.

He was referring to being unable to draw a smooth line, having to make a bunch of lines. Over
