Just let the lines flow <3 ~
For better posing it's easiest to start with a regular stick figure in a pose then draw over it.

It's easier said than done, "meating up" the lines would prove to be difficult because of the perspective of the joints. (Bent skin.)

concerning your soldier dragon things, there isn't much skin to be seen.

Camera, if there was anything that I could recommend doing, it would be 3d shading. That'll help things out immensely.
