Please use references. The only way people get good at drawing things on their own is practicing using real life references (or you could just be insanely, naturally talented in understanding 3d space and drawing that). You have to learn those rules before breaking them. Honestly the main issue is just claiming something that is obviously a reference practice as something completely original and your own.

Don't practice using other people's styles. Use them as inspiration and influence. It really is copying if you are going to use an already drawn image as reference and use all the same details then just call it your own. Use real life, its the best teacher available.

In all Disney films, artists use actors as references. They try to copy the movement of the character, the action, and the overall form of the character. Every great artist uses a reference.

That's the problem, you're only tracing, not sketching.

I'd suggest to sketch a few circles and simple shapes and if you can do that then you can apply into drawing your characters, like I can guarantee you that 99.9% good artists (including the people here on this thread) use simple shapes right before diving into adding any detail, like so (examples below)

(^^^ This pic show how the artist does their characters step by step so you can see how they start simple before adding the details later on)

Hope this helps you out with your current issue. Also all of the artwork feature in this post belong to their respectful artists.
