You need to break down what you're drawing into principle shapes. There are a lot of resources online on how to start drawing live models and such. Figure drawing was a huge class for me, I was taught how to break down the human form into principle sections and shapes that you use as your foundation for detail. Don't go straight into cartoons, practice real stuff first because once you understand that, you can bend those proportions and shapes into your own style. (Not my material but gets my point across) |
