in related news, my laptop is being handicapped and doesn't want to feel my pen unless i press against the screen really hard, which as you could guess, is not good for it
i guess it's as good an excuse as any to start funding for a Cintiq, but hell, it'll be a year or so until i've got the extra thousand for it and i need to something about this... ;-;

do you base your room drawings off of pictures? they're very nice

it's mostly just me crapping out lines with the thought "man modern architecture is nice" and using the basics of furniture around me to do stuff
frankly i'm still lucky it works out so well

damn. I usually do that for city scapes but it doesn't always come out well

for practically every single interior and exterior shot i've ever drawn, a snippet of real-life architecture i've seen is used- it makes it a lot easier.

the entrance that i did was based on a picture some fancy pantsy house that.... i can't seem to find anywhere anymore.... crap, i wanted to use it as a lighting reference, i guess i'll have to do it by scratch. but yeah, the rest are more or less original products. if i was to do a full building, though, i'm pretty sure i'd have to spend an hour or so staring at pictures of buildings because otherwise it'd just be a funny looking cube.
