It wasn't harsh, it was honest. Harsh and honest would've been "it looks awful", which, it sort of does. The ability to graciously accept criticism is one of the most important things to becoming a better artist.
Ok people, I get it now. I know what criticism is; it's just that (as I previously stated) it is often hard to convey tone, emotion, and what you truly mean and feel through text alone. As a result, I simply took what he said the wrong way, even though he didn't mean it like that. Entirely my own fault, I know.
As for the drawing, yes, it does kinda suck, but really it was just more of an experiment than anything. I was trying for that grungy, worn look, and I evidently failed at this. I am currently recoloring the whole thing so it'll be only solid colors, and look neater in general.
Please, don't think I'm taking your criticism the wrong way. You having criticized my work is the main reason I'm going over it again anyway. And all in all, I know I can do better, so bear with my ineptness a bit longer and watch me (attempt to) improve. :)
