Author Topic: Drawings Megathread  (Read 4347595 times)

Speaking of using a mouse to draw, I was actually doing so for the whole day while experimenting with a new canvas:

I also drew another pic but it's currently private to Na pulse
I always used one layer but you guys prob already knew that seeing how bad my stuff looks lol.

then why dont i use forgeten photoshop instead? it does the same basic stuff that ms paint does.

oh wait, its way too forgeten complicated compared to mspaint.

oh wait, paint.net is less simplified than mspaint.

i forgeten use mspaint because its quick and simple. i dont need any of that unecessary bullstuff. mspaint is drawing down to the most simplest format, and actually lets me forgeten translate stuff from my mind into a visable form more fluidly than any of the other programs.
1. Nop

2. Yes it is much more complicated but if you actually take the time to learn how to use it instead of sitting in your cesspool of laziness and then getting mad because people criticize your stuffty tools then maybe you could actually create something that is actually good.  You are literally saying "a shovel does the same basic job as an excavator so why use the excavator when its so hard to learn how to do it".  Instead of choosing the lazy way why don't you actually get a tool to draw with that isn't complete stuff so you can make stuff that actually looks decent.

3.  Are layers really that hard to comprehend?

4.  "unnecessary bullstuff"- or actual tools that will let you go beyond anything MSpaint could ever hope to achieve.  If you would actually take the time to learn even some of the basic functions of something like paint.net or gimp you would be pleasantly surprised at how less stuffty your drawings look.

Now don't get me wrong your drawings were very good but they could be even better if you learned more advanced tools.

Dammit Cheese we just stopped the water from boiling, now you gotta go n' turn up the heat.

judge needs to learn to word his stuff properly without sounding like a supercilious piece of stuff.

I'm not convinced.

sounds hot :cookieMonster:

no you see, because thats the issue. i use ms paint because of how efficient it is. i dont use photoshop because i cant draw worth stuff with a tablet since the orientation is always off and the lines end up shakey as forget, which is what i said earlier.

i know how to forgeten use other tools

but i dont want my stuff to look good as much as i want to actually be able to take a stuff in the first place.

because i forgeten hate drawing? i forgeten hate drawing. the only time it can ever come out decent is when i dont forgeten pay attention to it. you think i give a damn about drawing things efficiently? its a forgeten hobby. the only thing i want to do out of this is to draw scenes and express ideas. the only time its usefull to worry about bullstuff like efficiency is if you're being an uptight ass who needs stuff to be perfect.
I'm nowhere near as angry as LoLBert, but this is what I meant by taking art way too seriously. You guys treat it like it feeds your family and seem have the mentality that everyone else thinks the same thing.

All my sketches posted in this thread are done out of pure boredom. There's no inspiration behind them, no reason to do them, nothing. Remember when Miga got pissy because he thought I knew Japanese and I wrote something completely wrong? The writing was copied down from a YouTube video of "Rin Chan Now!" in Project Diva, and the sketch itself was done during my last hour of school. All of my sketches are like this. I don't consider myself an artist, I don't plan to make a career out of sketching, and I don't listen to criticism because I don't act like these sketches are done at gunpoint. Having a personal interest in something doesn't mean I get paid because of it. I like reading comic books. Must mean I'm Linkara.

jesus christ, yeah thats exact.

but yeah i shouldnt be this ticked off. i bring a lot of baggage from stuff that has nothing to do with the conversation and it skews my perspective. but really, thats all im trying to say.

Whoa LoLBert I didn't mean to get you mad, sorry I came off like that :S

I find it incredibly impressive that you can make drawings that cool with just MSpaint and a mouse.
I could never do that seriously

Some people take art seriously because maybe it will be their wellbeing? You have to account that it's not everyone's hobby. I take art serious when I need to because I will end up in design down the road.

their well being. what does the quality of other people's drawings have to do with your aspirations? i know what you mean, but its a conflict of beliefs going on here

oi it had nothing to do with you mate. i appreciated it, if anything

Basically don't be "everyone should take art lighthearted as forget only" and also don't be "YOU forgetER THIS IS SRS ART". Medians is what I'm saying. "Just because it isn't you, doesn't mean it applies to everyone else." Art might be a hobby for some of you guys, but art is a very dear thing to me and others in this thread.

i felt i was the one being insulted. i did generalize everyone who always needs things to look good, though, didn't i. Didn't mean it like that, sorry. sometimes generalization works to make people who dont pay much attention to something notice it more at the expense of ending up attacking the whole group, i think is where i was going.

its way too forgeten late in the day for me and i have enough trouble articulating, just know i dont disrespect any of you. im passionate and hotheaded is all

everything I make has to look good to me or im unhappy with it
and because of that almost nothing ive made im happy with anymore
