Google search images of people and look at them, use basic shapes before drawing your whatever. Unless you're really skilled, it's easier to stylize and keep proportions than it is to create something Anatomically perfect.

yeah currently i'm using the power of elliptic shapes and other such trickery for guides

obviously a lot of it is just practising until i can get it ingrained into my skullzone so i just gotta figure out the most effective way for me to do that and den i'l b a HAPPY BOY!!
