Milkshape or blender

use blender for modeling, and then I use milkshape for exporting because its really easy from there.
Blender: Awesome for modeling
Milkshape: Good for compiling materials, animating, and exporting .dts

If you can't figure out how to use either of those, use Wings 3d. It is easy to use and quick to learn how to use it.
