And the solution.
Does anyone know why it would do this?
Because that makes no sense.
Especially since I do have broadband.

Sounds like a problem everyone has once and a while. Sometimes it's just not connect-able. It happened to me once, and I just restarted my computer.

You should re-install if nothing better is suggested.
