Wot I think - RPs and RPGs

Yeah. Just a thread about wot I think on this subject.
First:
RP - Role play
RPG - Role playing game
RPG is often tied to levelling games like oblivion and maplestory.
I personally believe they need a new name, as no role-playing happens that often.
Okay, some people may do it in single-player RPGs but for MMORPGs, no-one ever really does.
So that's why I think they need a new name.
How I think it should be:
(New name for them here) - A game with levelling as a main mechanic
RP(new name) - A game with levelling AND roleplaying.
RPG - A standalone game where you roleplay (I always thought as the Sims as one of these.)
RP - A sub-gamemode for an existing game where you roleplay, instead of (Game's usual gameplay here), Like our good friend City RP.
Now, lets see wot u think.

RPG originated from games like DnD. Where you had to select your stats and skills, then level up while rp-ing. Games are like that still but the rp is gone.

Then propose a new name, you're not really stirring up discussion by saying "Bump".
RPG fits the genre because you role play the main character, and dictate their choices as your own. The "role play" is still there, but mostly it goes on in the players mind. It suits the genre and I see no reason to change it.
