Does purchased FRAPs not lag the game out your ass?

It's really smooth. Unfortunately the free version is only 30 seconds a video, and has the "www.fraps.com" on the top. :c

No, I bought the full version and I use it for all my game recording.

And I'm on a laptop that wasn't built for gaming. There is a slightly noticeable drop in framerate, but nothing huge; for instance, if your game's running at 40 FPS, with Fraps recording, it's maybe at 32-35 FPS.

Try using xfire, it is 100% free.  I would give you a link but you can do it yourself.

Well, I'm just worried about if it won't work like the rest of em. So, maybe I don't try any from now :c

Well I know a good trick to make the screen recording softwares not laggy:

Get a better computer.

It will work. And it's very efficient!

I have a terrible computer and fraps never lagged me.

recorded with fraps

The lag is probably because I was hosting my server at the same time as playing Single Player.

putting fraps and saving the video file on an alternate hard drive will improve your fps
