No, it effects them a lot. It uses up a lot more resources than a simple GUI program should use. It literally uses up 8x as much memory as Steam, and it even has a fancier GUI.

This is not a simple GUI program.
I have already expressed my concern in its memory usage, but even so my Eee PC 701 netbook can run it fine, so I'm sure a full blown laptop won't find it too hard. ;)

Well if you want to say that, it still uses 8x as much memory as Steam, which has just as much eye candy.

Indeed it isn't the most memory efficient, but AfterBlock has only just been released and these are early days still. Comparing it to a program thats been developed by many programmers over many years (which doesn't even do the same job as AfterBlock) is pretty deluded.
